The vision that drives Playa Vista Elementary School
as a hub of innovation, research and professional development is delivering a challenging and nurturing environment for the youngest learners.
The Playa Vista Elementary School shows what can happen when educators, planners, green builders and a dedicated community come together to create a state-of-the-art model for teaching and learning. Through a partnership with Loyola Marymount University (LMU), the LA Unified School District (LAUSD) and the local community, this K-5 demonstration school is quickly becoming a breeding ground for effective teaching strategies, particularly in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). For enrollment or other information, please call the PVES Administrative Office at 424.228.1800.
The new LAUSD-LMU Middle School Pathway (grades 6 – 8) on the campus of Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnets has been approved for the 2017-18 school year. This pathway will provide a continuation of the STEM instructional program from PVES. Enrollment preference is given to students currently enrolled at PVES. You can get the details and necessary forms on the LAUSD Local District West page
The Playa Vista Daily Shuttle makes going to Playa Vista Elementary School even easier now. Shuttles start at 7am and make a special stop at 7:24am and 7:54am in front of the school playground on Bluff Creek Drive (near Ballona Discovery Park).
