The vision that drives
Playa Vista Elementary School as a hub of innovation, research and professional development is delivering a challenging and nurturing environment for the youngest learners. All children residing in Playa Vista have the opportunity to attend Playa Vista Elementary School.
Playa Vista Elementary School shows what can happen when educators, planners, green builders and a dedicated community come together to create a state-of-the-art model for teaching and learning. Through a partnership with Loyola Marymount University (LMU), the LA Unified School District (LAUSD) and the local community, this K-5 demonstration school is quickly becoming a breeding ground for effective teaching strategies, particularly in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). For enrollment or other information, please call the PVES Administrative Office at 424.228.1800.
The new Katherine Johnson STEM Academy (grades 6 – 8) on the campus of Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnets is open for the 2017-18 school year. This pathway provides a continuation of the STEM instructional program from PVES. Enrollment preference is given to students currently enrolled at PVES.
